With a big army of announcements coming from MS and new products from Apple, 2006 doesn't look good for the Open Source community - at least in the desktop.But look, this is the new Motororla A1200 phone-pda. Has almost anything that you may want, namely e-mail and internet access, reads Word, Excell and Power Point files and music + video streaming in a wide range of formats .... and ... it's a LINUX phones ...With an increasing power of the pda processors plus set-up boxes - video portable players - ... coming to age ... expect more and more Linux, but this time maybe into ... embeded systems ... at least for 2006.
I teach @ Esade & UPF. My interests are focused on innovation, Open Innovation, innovation policy and the involvement of users in the innovation process and in the intersection between IT & Innovation. My research deals with questions like how companies can capture value in Open Innovation Spaces, the role of complexity, … and of course User Involvement.
