Complexity & Imitation

Total or partial imitation is a very well know mechanism for strategy positioning (the other one is incremental improvement ...). Some people believe that complexity deters imitation, on the contrary some of us believe that complexity favors imitation and I think that Sansung is a great example (like japanese companies before) of how to leverage on imitation to build a great company!! Here is a new 2ms LCD-TFT. They began copying, now everybody tries to copy them!!
